1939 Ray Whitley Recording King Guitar
Exceptional Original Condition
Serial # EW-1666 places its manufacture date to early 1939
This is one of the very best sounding Gibson Jumbos I've played.
It is X-Braced with 3 tone bars with a 24 7/8" scale length.
It's got the 1 3/4" nut and a "deep C" neck profile
Red Spruce top and mahogany back and sides
Just a few nicks and pick marks on the top
Three hairlines in the back
And you just have to love that pickguard shape
And, of course, the vintage strap attachments
